Karl isn't dying. At least they aren't this week.
Karl's health isn't great + things are Just Weird w/Karl that way.
Karl is Pretty Neat *and* their quirks drive me banana crackers sometimes.
Karl has a milder form of a Reality Distortion Field + getting through it is a dance.

While Karl has been in hospital, Trudy has done all of the following in the last ~48 hours:

- Texted Karl multiple times
- Made excuses to drop by twice
