All about the birds, bees and trees
Some of this morning's visitors.

Starlings, blue tits and pigeons. I usually have upwards of 10 different species & learning their behaviours has brought me a lot of joy. I'm taking part in @birdwatchireland.bsky.social bird survey and cant wait to see the tally of birds at the end of the month!

I miss 15 years ago when incels were fringe online weirdos. Now we have celebrity neo-nazis telling Piers Morgan they've never known the touch of a woman.

The tree I see from my bedroom window makes me think of the housing struggle most of us are experiencing. Trying to grow strong, tall and proud. Refusing to bend or break or be squished out. Rooted deeply in what we believe and what we know we deserve

What's the story with the severe lack of hot water bottles for sale anywhere? Was there a hot water bottle purge I wasn't aware of? I don't want soft toys stuffed with wheat and whacked in the microwave as an alternative - it's nowhere near the same and thats a hill I'll die on

Homelessness, and risk to it, isn't a one type fits all. There are people who need to choose between staying with an abuser or attempting to navigate the harrowing homeless crisis in Ireland. My heart goes out to those who are in those extremely difficult situations.
The housing crisis is making women more vulnerable to abuse and exploitation and they often “must make the choice to stay with an abuser or navigate homelessness”.

The National Women’s Council today released a report on the link between the housing crisis and violence against women.

Does anyone else get a little eye twitch when they're tired? I told my boyf that I had the sleepy twitches and he looked at me like I'd 12 heads. I can't be the only slightly-twitchy-sleepy- person?
