I think according to Krita devs, it's just one of the ways you can support its development. You can also purchase it on MS Store, or just donate to them directly.

Also I'm glad the new Steam controller is very close to the leak design, I like the Steam Deck controller layout and scheme and I'd probably get that as well... touchpads are underrated and I don't think I can't play shooters without them anymore
