Try to avoid big Temp stress. Frosty cold & hot air can stress your windshield & grow chips into cracks. Warm your car gradually to protect your glass. Once defrosted, turn the air flow to the body/foot area as much as possible. Frost/hot air + adding in Edmonton 'speed bumps' is a stress disaster
