I miss when the best "AI stuff" out there were toys and complete nonsense, thinking 2020ish, 5 minutes an image vaguely near to what you told it. Left a lot more to the imagination and felt very 'incoherent dream' like. plus back then it didn't use a shit load of electricity as it was still 'local'

As for actual writing, the em dash is common so it isn't really a tell for AI stuff, but when it comes to social media bots I think it's a good tell, nobody is putting every short post through software to get their - into an em dash for example

and, pretty key to the 'why are AI bros weird about it', they *aren't* on most keyboards by default - only "-" - which makes them a big 'AI tell' regardless when it comes to idle social media posting, and I think the AI bros hate it a lot xD
