just got off the phone w one of my mom’s oldest friends who hasn’t heard from her since june. yesterday another of her friends was texting me basically asking if she was still alive. I haven’t heard from her in a week myself despite blowing up her phone. do I need to go show up at her door again?

there is a rescue down the road w the sweetest hospice dog who has lymphoma. he loves to get in the dryer w a warm load of laundry so they took him to the laundromat & filled all the dryers w blankets & toys omg im not crying, you are 🥲

well this afternoon we booked an interview for cj (lol) for her new school tomorrow. so I canceled my entire day bc she’ll miss school cutoff time. I’m just wondering what it’s come to that we are interviewing *toddlers* (avoiding public schools in fl, I guess)

there have been two recent incidents at our local high schools of kids bringing loaded guns. one gun was left in the car, where it was stolen, & people are saying the perpetrator is a victim. the other was in a backpack & the kid tried to grab the officer’s gun when it was discovered.
