The pupils in Y6 loved their trip to the Imperial War Museum today where they had the opportunity to explore an incredible range of artefacts and exhibits from the First World War. Still one of the best museums in London!

The children in Y6 loved making (and eating) their healthy breakfast today as part of their DT unit. Who needs coco pops when you can have fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkling of chia seeds!

Have a look (and read) of some of the fantastic writing from our history lesson this week! The children in Y6 used their research notes from last week to write a detailed biography of Captain Noel Chavasse - the most decorated member of the British armed forces in WW1.

Today, the pupils in Y6 were finalising their designs for a healthy breakfast which will they will be making next week (as part of their ‘Food and Nutrition’ DT unit). We can’t wait to sample the final product!

As part of their history unit on the ‘Great War’, the pupils in Y6 have been conducting research into the life and achievements of Noel Chavasse. Next week, they will be writing a biography, describing his heroics on the battlefield and how he won two Victoria Crosses.

The pupils in Y6 are really enjoying their new humanities unit on World War One. This week, they have been imagining what it was like for a soldier in the trenches and have written a letter home to a family member, describing conditions on the Western Front.

Year 6 have begun their amazing detailed still life artwork. Pupils have focused on their sketching skills, such as pressure lines and cross contouring. References made to Paul Cezanne and Van Gogh for inspiration. Keep watch- water colours next! @brunswickparkps.bsky.social

Have a look at the fantastic artwork the Y6 pupils have produced this week (linked to their work on Dame Elizabeth Anionwu)….they have been investigating the structure and appearance of blood cells, using microscopic images as inspiration to create their unique designs.

Using their research notes from last week, the Y6 pupils have written excellent non-chronological reports, describing key events and achievements in the life of Dame Elizabeth Anionwu. They have also tried to include quotes and oral evidence to support their findings.
