Agree. I think of GDP as a measure of a the strength of a country’s economic ‘muscle’. The key point is what you use the muscle to accomplish (re the other measures you mention).

Yes, it is overwhelming. Take some moments to take care of yourself, like getting a bit of sunshine (can be difficult in winter, but Infrared light fights inflammation) or exercise or a mini spa day at home. We need to take care of ourselves so that we can keep stepping our way through this.💗
