Trying to make a point to complete my first playthrough of SRW Y, but holy heck, the slog levels are unreal.
I'm well over 100 hours in, and story-wise, I'm probably not THAT close to the end. I have a side mission backlog to infinity.

An amusing bit about this Langrisser OST set:
There are five out of six discs dedicated to the first two games, but only one for III. There are multiple songs that most people probably won't ever hear, because you'd need to leave battle animations on to hear them. Nobody should ever do this.

Still good overall, but last time it was like "three weeks is too long." Now it's like "two weeks is too long."

I walked into one just to remind myself why they suck, and I wasn't disappointed. They had a copy of Der Langrisser FX behind glass.
The price was ~50% higher than Mandarake, which was already not ideal (9900 vs 14000+).

Made it to Osaka and immediately made my pilgrimage to A Pizza.
They added a drink requirement since I was last here. It's for orders after 4 PM, but they pushed it on me at 3 PM for some reason.
A little unfortunate, but certainly not enough to keep me from going there repeatedly.

Finally got around to properly playing a bit of the PSX Langrisser IV copy I picked up a couple years ago.
I knew they gave it the awful battle system from V, but it's a bummer to learn that they also fixed the bug that made V's speedrun neat AND the bug that made IV's run less annoying.
Big oof.

I finally figured out how to set up a super basic RAM watch in Bizhawk. I've skimmed the TAS Videos guide multiple times, but it somehow never clicked until tonight. It's really not THAT hard, but it just wasn't computing.

I finished another project last night: Thracia 776 pacifist SSS rank. No kills, bare minimum of six captured enemies, all characters alive/recruited, and under 179 turns.
I wasn't sure it was possible at first, but after Chapter 11x, I knew I was on track. Glad this project is done. It was tough.

SRW Y first impression update (2 hours): Mixed bag. Maps look much better, and they seemingly fixed the black screens of doom. It still feels like SRW 30-2 so far though, and they butchered the controls. I'm fighting YEARS of muscle memory here.
Also less options for quick commands, which is...odd?

I very rarely take days off from work, but I decided to take one to get some time in on SRW Y on release day. Little did I realize that the game doesn't even unlock on Steam until after I would've gotten home from work anyway. 🤡

Just finished routing SRW Alpha 3 NG+ good ending in time for my birthday on Saturday. 👍
Might be a good excuse to stream, but bad ending was 8.5 hours long. I've made some optimizations, but good ending is a few maps longer. We'll see.

Given recent news, I feel compelled to finally share the mini H-game review list I made. Who knows? Maybe someone will find a cool game to play that they didn't consider because of the stigma.

Replayed Undertale bad ending for the first time in...years? First try Undyne and fourth try Sans. Not too shabby for that amount of rust, I'd say.
