We really gotta come up with an official name for @mike.reuben.games 's movie rating system because I swear at this point it is weekly that it comes up in our office discussion of all sorts of media and "Mike Blackney's Respect/Enjoy it System" is not doing it justice after 3 years of use.

ICYMI: it's been a killer month for Yarn Spinner games 💚
Tile for Catto's Post Office shows a cartoon anthropomorphised cat in uniform as a mail person, delivering mail in a cozy pastel village. Tile for Mashina shows some of the stop-motion characters in the game - little robots made of colourful random objects and trash, with smiley little faces. These are visibly made from real, physical props of wires and foil and crinkly paper and all sorts. Tile for Hotel Galactic shows the hotel you manage in the game - a lightly Japanese-styled building covered in greenery and lanterns, atop a floating island - with some of the main characters in the foreground. They are visibly alien, sporting features like cat faces or bugle noses, but still cute and wearing clothing like a human tourist or adventurer would wear. Tile for Grimshire shows some of the animal characters tending to their crops, but looking fearfully to the sky. In the background, their quaint village of log cabins with sod rooves is visible under a dark-clouded sky.

Several Yarn Spinner titles were impacted by this, much worse than when similar bans hit Steam. But even if that weren't the case, we as game lovers, consumers + creators won't stand by while random lobbyists get to control the creations and livelihood of others.

Every step in this chain is bad.
The "small domino leads to bigger and bigger dominos" meme that is used to visualise the later much larger impact that follows from a small initial event. The smallest domino is labelled "removing the violent rape game would be censorship" and it leads to the biggest domino labelled "queer people and SA survivors can't make games anymore".

screenshot of Google time shows that in Hobart, Tasmania (Australia) it is only 4:57pm Wednesday, and therefore the poster will still be presumably at work. Working backwards, the Destiny update would have come out in the early hours of the morning for this time zone and so unless they work weird hours or got the day off, they wouldn't have been able to play it yet.

why yes, it does look like it says ASS in the reflection
