I agree that this has huge potential! It is dependent on how diligent a team is with regards to documenting their tech debt, though. Is a TODO comment somewhere in code sufficient? Probably not - I think more detail is needed, and teams that are good about documentation etc. will have an advantage

I used to have the same (IKEA) coffee table! Definitely a "embrace the clutter" design but very functional. It is quite big, though, as I recall - we got rid of it when we moved to a place with a living room that didn't really accommodate its size.
