It’s not a matter of if. It’s that a lot of yalls grandparents did say that. Let’s not pretend like the same people targeting us were not okay with mass killing of Jewish, gay, Romani and so many others. Pro-fascists are not new. This is why we need to build a better world, these cycles need to go.

My grandfather died four years ago. I was like losing the entirety of Falasteen since he was the one who spoke of home. I woke up today, the weather gloomy echoing the day and I yearned for a piece of home. I made fatayer for the first time not on stage in months with olive oil from his garden.

Don't you dare assume that you know better than people impacted.
Whatever happens with Syria it's not your place to dominate the conversation if you're not Syrian. Syrians know. Palestinians know. Lebanese people know. We've always known while you're just starting to learn.
