The walnut veneer arrived a couple of weeks ago looks pretty cool. I’m going to use it on the rims, front of the peg heads perhaps with an inlay if I can master that skill.

Cutting the rims presented a couple of issues. I cut it to spect and with the flipping over to cut from the other due to router depth to thickness of the blank the cutting circle shifted slightly. So make another blank allow 2mm either side of the cut. Build lathe like tool to shape the rims.

Banjo project,
Well I decided it’s time for another lil project and perhaps do a blog with this on BlueSky. I am building 2 banjo’s one will be fretted the other fretless open back old time style. Starting with making the rims…. I know there are ways not like mine, but I’m experimentin.
