That's specifically what I'm talking about; I'm not likely to believe everything I hear at the best of times, but if I get a hint that someone's narcissistic, dishonest etc then what they have to say is worth less than nothing to me, I'd choose to believe the opposite.

In my experience most folk have too much going on to take that much notice to the current local furry drama go round, but also give them some agency, most would rather decide for themselves too.

Modding a few groups my general rule of thumb is that I can only police what happens in the group. If someone told me to kill myself because I didn't remove someone that may have said or done something somewhere else that I don't have access to they would themselves get removed.
