I have a strong feeling that they are going to focus on PC development, as that will be the majority of the target platform.

Especially since Unity already dominates the mobile development market with their technology, I don't see S&Box outdoing them in any aspect.

I didn't know that they were opening up the C# side to open source, that's even more of a green flag in my books that the devs are going in the right direction for the development of this community

I completely agree, I think it's extremely promising as an engine and platform despite being so early in it's development 😀

The community that is in the early access already seems very well versed in the engine and it's nuances.

That's true, I didn't see anything one their roadmap about mobile or even Linux support. Currently, the engine is only supported on Windows.

That's fair, do you mean that in the sense that people will mostly just be creating FPS games / game modes on the platform?

Also for the platforms to be fair, the developers did state that you can build & package your games to be put on other platforms.
