Finished Revue Starlight again. Just felt like rewatching it on HIDIVE one more time before it leaves. Must admit that the movie has spoiled me but this show will always be up there as one of my favorites.

Sure is nice to have Takakura-sensei take the choir club's side for a change. I think she ended up being one of the more interesting characters once the show reveals her friendship with Mahiru and she gets to interact with Wakana. She definitely requires some patience, though.

Really wish more was done with Sawa and Taichi's relationship. There's some decent scenes between them but the romantic angle otherwise feels underdeveloped.

I like how Konatsu's play is just a fantasy AU version of the show. Feels like something an anime production committee would come up. How come Taichi and Wien play a bunch of frogs?

Also thought Konatsu had a couple good moments. Her standing up to the student council and the vocal club is great.

Really love Wakana's role in this plot. It's thanks to her finishing the song that the club gets motivated to finish the play and that in turn rallies everyone else to continue with the festival. I feel Wakana acts the most like her mother during this final stretch.

I think where this plot works is what it says about the choir club. Even though they've been called a bunch of goofballs or amateurs, they're the ones who actually never gave up on the festival and kept the spirit of their school alive.

Didn't think Tari Tari could get more ridiculous than Wien tackling one of the Condor Queens in Episode 5 but the chase scene at the end of Episode 10 has proven me otherwise. Also love the others joining him at the end. Great way to finish the episode.

Technically speaking, Tari Tari had a female green ranger before Super Sentai did it with Ninninger and Kyuranger. This anime was ahead of the curve. Funny how Sawa gets a male Ranger outfit. Probably just a coincidence but Power Rangers did that for years.

Really appreciate that everyone else in the club got into the whole Sentai act at some point or another. The friendship between these five remains on point.

I am beyond disappointed that Sawa doesn't waltz into the gym on her horse. I will however accept the post-credit scene of Sabure parked alongside the bicycles.

Sawa racing to the school on her horse and everyone else stalling for time. Such a goofy end to the two-parter and I love every second of it.

Really appreciate that the club desperately needs to win the audition but they prioritize Sawa's feelings first. The friendship between these characters is so nice.
