Thank you for the belly laugh ... this is the reality of my life these days.

Poor baby! My old girl went through episodes of vomiting with the methimazole. One thing I noticed was that these meds will affect appetite and activity levels. She just slept all the time and her appetite diminished. Vomiting can be triggered by an empty stomach.

My cat was on methimazole, 1/4 tablet 2X a day. I was having to cut the tablets, didn't know that I was absorbing this drug through my fingers. Seriously messed up my own thyroid function.

What meds is she on? I have a senior tortie also, who was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. We had a terrible time getting her dosage right. After almost 2 years I finally discontinued the meds and she is doing much better. Also, if you are handling the pills, wear gloves. My vet didn't warn me!

I need to have two works by @sarahmgilman.bsky.social framed and up my wall. After I get out of the Southern Sierra Nevada and make my way back to the San Juans (WA). Promise to myself.

Steamboat is far more impressive, but also more unpredictable, than Old Faithful in my experience.
