One day after the release of Rodeo Clown, I started Spider Land. Then I immediately burnt out. The end.

The night scenes are the best. I don't think anyone bothers to look around during this portion of the game, but they should.

This is one of the things I was whining about during my Parallels talk. Every one of those options leads to a different conversation, and to see them all you'd need to play this scene 9 times! Nobody is doing that!

Another very late addition: character descriptions. I had lots of fun with these, although I don't think anyone read them. I spent a lot of time on useless shit in this last month of development.

I still had no idea what the UI was going to look like at this point. I was still using the theming from Trail of the Wretched, which was completely out of place.

I actually had most of the town's major buildings in by the second month of development. Kind of insane to think about in hindsight, considering I didn't release the game for another 8 months.

The fabled payphone showed up next. I modelled this without knowing what it was going to be used for. I ended up using it during the intro scene, so the time I spent on all the details was worth it.

Jessie and Jos (the best characters) showed up early in development. I ripped that Texas flag mural straight out of a Better Call Saul episode, because I thought it looked cool.

There was a brief period where I thought the game was going to be black and white. Not sure what the idea behind that was. Also, power lines. Who doesn't love power lines.
