We didn't miss that part. You haven't gotten to it yet. We're all waiting to hear about these productivity boosts.

You previously said you've written extensively about AI's failures (bsky.app/profile/simo...). How about their successes? Not speculative... ACTUAL successes that have happened?

It simply doesn't work. It's failing and plateauing.

And that's not even touching the horrid environmental impact, plagiarism, and all sorts of litigious murky waters. EVEN putting all that aside... it still just doesn't work. Truth hurts. Learn to program and draw yourself. It is actually fun!

I agree with the (very vague) second part. The first part... is that a haiku?

I'm not demonizing LLMs. The reality is, this tech COULD get there someday! But surely not by ignoring its failures, and all the people whose expertise it relies on (programmers, artists, etc.).

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. On one hand, the tool (calculator, or AI) is only to be used by experts after they learn the traditional way (math, programming). But on the other hand, it's a self-teaching tool? So am I to use AI to learn, or use it only ONCE I've learned?

And how do you suppose that person gets the acumen to review the code? To know what they're looking at? How do you think someone learns those skills? Keep following the thought, you'll get there!

Very cool opportunity, and I appreciate the candor in the application about pay and the schedule. Wish I was in Portland!
