Building Research AI+: connecting young researchers across disciplines & bridging academia with industry. Innovation happens at intersections. 🚀Prev. @Cornell
I've been using Notion, but recently I started using Cursor (AI coding agent) for coding and realized how useful it is to have a personal database written purely in Markdown! If anyone's interested, just give me a shout and I'll share some of my experiences and tips. #obsidian #academicsky
Just started using Obsidian and was wondering if any of you could recommend some really cool plugins for it? Especially interested in ones related to note-taking, productivity tools, AI tools and academic research. Thanks a bunch! 🥳🥳🥳 #obsidian #academicsky #PKMS #AI

The research landscape has changed. While previous generations built networks through conferences and formal introductions, today we move fluidly between academia and industry and drive innovation through interdisciplinary work. Our professional networks must evolve accordingly. #Academicsky #PhDsky
As one researcher stated, "Early-career scientists are the future," what can we young researchers do to build strategic networks? Move fluidly between academia and industry, collaborate across borders, and drive innovation through interdisciplinary work? 🤔🤔🤔 #academicsky #edusky #research #phdsky

In the whirlwind of AI's evolution, focusing on lasting principles holds more value than fixating on patterns.

Inspired by Jakob Nielsen's 10 Usability Heuristics, I’m exploring principles distinct to AI product design, setting them apart from the ordinary, which I'll discuss further. 👇 Check them

How do you survive the paper/info flood? While I have plenty of resources (from various newsletters), my sources are super scattered - have to jump between different channels and my emails are overwhelming and unfiltered, making it easy to miss important papers in the flood of info. #academicsky #ai

Definitely yes!!! I really don't want to make others think I am nothing but a publication machine😅 Need something to highlight my whole professional life.

Is it necessary to have my own personal research/academic website? Google scholar only papers; Linkedin mainly promotion stuff....🥲 I am trying to find some simple and beautiful template to start from. Drop a comment if you are interested! I'll share my findings below. #AcademicSky #PhDSky #edusky

[AI + Product] No.4️⃣ What keeps me work effective as an PM as well as a CEO of an agile AI start-up?

1/ Effective AI PM hinges on two pillars🌟:
- Master the core business mechanics
- Clearly understand LLM capabilities (know when to push back)

[AI + Product] No.3️⃣ What's the toughest part of AI product design? Navigating uncertainty, especially in B2B, where there's no room for "creative" interpretations. Here are some hard-earned insights from the field 🧵

[AI + Product]No.2️⃣ Many ai products are trying innovative user interactions to align AI with users, and whiteboards💡 have never been more popular. They excel at parallel thinking, brainstorming, and collaboration. BUT here's the thing: are whiteboards actually the right solution for everything?🤔

[AI + Product] Been building AI products both as a consultant and indie maker. From leading user research to working directly with MLEs - gathered my fair share of battle scars along the way. Might share more if people find this useful 🧵
