Celebrate the Madison City (Alabama) Orchestra’s 10th birthday with a concert this Sat, 6/28 at 5 PM. Pieces were selected by our members and include West Side Story, Phantom, A Tribute to John Williams, and even Sleigh Ride (though off season). A reception of cake and hors d'oeuvres will follow. 🎷

The Birmingham​ WFO (BMX) has sheltered in place while a tornado pass​es just a few miles to their SE. Peachtree City (FFC) ​is acting as their backup office.

October 2024: Hiking to Ouzel Falls via the Wild Basin Trail on the SE side of Rocky Mountain National Park. The Aspen were at peak color and wow, did they shine!

Some early morning shots around Flint Creek in the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge near Decatur, Alabama. The weather was warm and beautiful! Hard to believe it's mid-November. The pelicans were near the shore and quite cooperative.

I finally got a chance to shoot #comet C/2023 A3. Despite the nearly full moon, the comet was still visible to the naked eye. Photo 2 was brightened up a bit to show a slight hint of an anti-tail projecting from the coma towards the sun (down and to the right). #alwx
