Neat! Looks like that dial on the left should detune the VCO, though with just one it might not be obvious without a frame of reference. If you add a second VCO to the mix and detune them slightly against each other, it should sound thicc.

They can, although you may or may not hear teeny tiny traces of what was there before.

Not a documentary, but there’s lots of neat info on her website:

There's also so many things it could be an analogy for, or branches of theory that you could look at it through the metaphorical lens of.

I'm happy to take corrections at face value, so we can work together to both arrive at the truth. 😊 I gather it's an autistic trait, which explains why so few people share this mindset.

And yeah, it's fun to use old MIDI sequencers occasionally.

Of course, guitars don’t need licenses, keys, or dongles. That’s where the analogy falls apart, admittedly.

OK, not a great ratio of working to broken disks, *but* I now have Pro-24 V1.1 and Cubeat V2.0, which isn't a bad haul at all for about £50.

In rock terms, this is like if I managed to buy a 1950s Fender Stratocaster for £50 because they're "obsolete", as if you can't still make music on them.

OK, the first disk may have been a fluke. I’m shocked, SHOCKED that I can’t read most of these squeaky 30-40 year old disks!

Not the most reassuring noises, but the first disk copied OK! 💾

Confirmed, thank you! 😊
