I’ll believe it when I see it. This country is essentially a failed state at this point.

I did make a book. Only a few reviews so far, but all 5 & 4-stars. Have a look. Let me know what you think. a.co/d/ihNJetq

I hope you’re right, but these are monsters who are literally getting away with murder.

I agree she is evil, but I doubt that she will face the consequences she so richly deserves. There are so many in this administration committing criminal and immoral acts. It would be great to see them pay for their crimes, however I’m skeptical that they ever will.

Unfortunately we can’t. There is no question that they will do whatever it takes to stay in power, legal or not, peaceful or not.

I agree that they belong in prison. However, assuming we actually have free & fair elections, I don’t see the next Congress/administration having the fortitude to bring these traitors to justice - 40% of the country still supports them, they have a powerful propaganda machine (Fox) and SCOTUS.

Very short indeed. Money and a path to citizenship.

Interesting article in the Guardian. China has lifted millions out of poverty where the US has not. Although we should emphatically reject the authoritarian methods of the Chinese government, perhaps we can learn something about their economic priorities? apple.news/ADJAWWSAZQoK...
China has brought millions out of poverty. The US has not – by choice — Guardian US
Despite the US’s economic success, income inequality remains breathtaking. But this is no glitch – it’s the system

We have been spoon-fed propaganda since birth, as is evidenced by the recent house vote denouncing the “horrors of socialism”. This is how they keep the working class in line while they skim the cream off the top. Fox News & social media are effective tools in reinforcing this narrative.

This administration will destroy anything if there’s a way to profit from it. They don’t give a damn about you, your kids or the country - just short term profit.

You don’t really expect them to release anything that implicates Trump or his allies? They will withhold such documents as part of an ongoing investigation. They left a loophole a mile wide. They have once again circled the wagons for the most corrupt and immoral person ever to hold public office.

Here’s something we don’t need Congress to do. How about disbarment proceedings against these corrupt so-called lawyers?

Hitler knew he was cornered. Trump still thinks he’s “winning”, because that’s what the sycophants who surround him tell him every waking hour. He’s not only detached from morality but also from reality. Truly dangerous combination.

Couldn’t agree more. My recently published novel envisions one scenario of what the world may look like in your lifetime (probably not mine).

It will eventually cool back down. Just not in our lifetime. See the end of the article - “We need to focus now on limiting ongoing warming. That the Earth will naturally cool back down is not going to happen fast enough to help us out.”

Unfortunately there is no mechanism to recall a senator (or congressman). Only remedy is expulsion by a 2/3 vote of the senate. Hell will freeze over first

To answer your question, I have always wanted to write fiction but life (work, kids, etc) was always in the way so to speak. I’m now semi-retired and finally have the time. I am also passionate about addressing climate change, and wanted to write something that might be a wake up call. Tall order.
