I guess I don't watch enough sports. This was my first encounter with this use of whitewash. I was expecting some kind of cover-up.

I confess I had wondered about the safety of these wings. Can they really break away with low enough force to prevent injury while still being strong enough to provide meaningful downforce? But this handling of the issue seems wrong.

Why would they assume this is happening? I can see the fitter telling the nice person why they're giving them a discount, but getting away with padding the bill is harder.

...pronghorn turned and ran straight down the road ahead of me, at an amazingly high speed. It did that for a couple hundred feet, I'd guess, and then turned back up the embankment and jumped the fence again. Agile little suckers!

I had Kubasiak's experience, but on a bicycle. Driver stopped in the road dead ahead of me because she hadn't looked ahead to notice a semi was blocking the driveway she was turning into. After hard braking with the back wheel in the air, I stopped about 6" from the van. ...

It might just be the different angle, but to "SPEC-II" looks like it might be 2027 spec. It looks narrower.

Sadly, neither the polite person nor the rude person will know about the adjustment and the reason for it, so no behavior modification is achieved. But it does make the fitter feel good.

In the US, the screams of "SOCIALISM!" from the right in response to any government policy that helps anyone but the rich started after the Civil War and have never stopped.

Tech innovations have been promised to reduce working hours or eliminate work since the industrial revolution. Instead, they've ALWAYS been used to get more productivity out of the same (or greater!) working hours.
