Moving to 32k database pages is done on a forest-wide basis and requires that all DCs in the forest have a 32k page capable database. You must run with Windows Server 2025 FFL/DFL to use this feature.

Moving to a 32k database page format offers a huge improvement in areas affected by legacy restrictions, including multi-valued attributes are now able to hold up to ~3,200 values, which is an increase by a factor of 2.6.

WAC 2410 also includes UI for Windows Server 2025 Hyper-V GPU Partitioning (GPU-P) which means that multiple VMs can share a single physical GPU, giving each VM an isolated fraction of the physical GPU's capabilities.

One orange clown has single handedly contracted the US Economy.

REMEMBER: Congress could stop ALL OF THIS, but Republicans are complicit in destroying the country.

Vote them all out.

The biggest improvement would be in Windows Server 2025 where there is a massive performance improvement for NVMe storage. Up to 60% more IOPs with 30% reduction in CPU saving per IO and lower latency. This perf improvement is specific to local NVMe. This is great for SQL Server.

The incompetence, stupidity and recklessness in this picture is staggering.

We have never stopped innovating in Hyper-V. We believe in Hyper-V so much that we use it EVERYWHERE: Azure, Azure Local, Windows Server, Windows and even Xbox. We use Hyper-V for virtualization, for container isolation & security for starters.

Hyper-V has been built into Windows Server Standard and Datacenter for 15+ years. There is no additional cost.

If you licensed a VMware host with Windows Server Datacenter for unlimited guests, you ALREADY OWN the rights to use Windows Server as the Host.
