she/her. Poet, Tarot reader. I love history, fairy tales, mythology, folklore, overgrown gardens, foxes, birds, and meditative dance. Introvert neurodivergent. Converses with cats. Lately awash in rage and grief.

"Daniel" and "Come Down in Time."
For obscurity, add "Skyline Pigeon"!

1942 version of Cat People. Night of the Hunter 1955. The whole atmosphere, lighting, sound, (the Cat People pool scene OMG), dark fairy tales. (I already loved the darker 'horror' Grimm's fairy tales.) I'm not that old but grew up watching 'old' movies! Later, ALIEN started me on horror sci-fi.

Wrote a poem yesterday after many days (weeks?) of feeling too numb/small/overwhelmed. Everything (waves arms in all directions of existence) lately is just.....
& my words feel irrelevant inauthentic cliched inadequate privileged. The horrors persist but so do I, I tell myself? Just keep swimming?

The Apartment is one of my favorite movies, period. I watch NL Christmas Vacation in honor of my mother who loved it. Grinch MUST be the original animated version! Die Hard is my new tradition?
Also a necessity: Judy Garland singing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Just that one scene 💔❤️‍🩹

I tend to hide, enjoy the safety of shadows (stealing out sometimes into moonlight). My life's lesson may be to stand up on a platform (or tree stump?) and shine, raise my voice. All to say, I'll try to "talk" here sometimes.
