As much as you can throw at it. Turn it into a blown out bass flab mess, a nice toasty full range drive, and everything in between. Or you can chop the hell out of it and make it sound like you’re playing through practice amp.

Not sure why, but looks like it put my replies out of order. Hopefully you can figure it out. BTW, no guarantee I’m correct as I don’t have these units in front of me, but pretty sure that’s how you’d do it.

So the balanced out on the Friedman would be unused, unless you want the amp sim to feed something

So, it actually becomes pretty simple after that. Guitar—>POD go—>Friedman—>effects return on the Marshall.
Then use send/return on the Friedman in place of the amp send/return on the POD-go diagram. You do need the passive splitter tho. This could be a pedal enclosure or even a mono cable splitter

From what you’re describing, you’re basically just making the Friedman the amp pre, so it all becomes a standard amp with an amp sim out jack. I think only your volume and presence will still work on the Marshall. As for the pod go, you’d need the splitter box like the pic shows, (continued)

First thing, you wouldn’t really want the IRD going into the amp because it’s simulating a cab and intended to do that running direct to a mixer (PA, interface, etc). Of course there’s no rules, so you can try anything. But by running it to the cab, you’re putting a cab sim into cab. (Continued)

Glad you dig it. It’s not super common knowledge actually. Since TS’s Chop the lows and push the mids, makes them awesome for high-gain stacking. Similar to J Mascis pushing a treble booster into a muff. 👍

I’d first ask why you want the pod go in the loop. Is it just because the manual suggests it, or do you have a reason for wanting to do it that way?

Also, if you can clarify this a bit, I may be able to help with the routing of your chain.
