No changes to #Rally1 technical regulations in 2026, as published today by @FIA, while minor changes for #Rally2: alternator belt becomes free & only a direct mechanical linkage between steering wheel and steered wheels is permited (also for Rally3/4/5)

The 2026 #WRC Sporting Regulations, published yesterday, allow engine replacements during a rally (with FIA consent) to all cars except Rally1 Manufacturer entries- to date it was only allowed before TC0. A 60-min penalty will apply & no points scored #WRClive #WRCliveES #WRCjp

Toyota's wing mirrors impact performance so much (more grip) on the fast stages of #RallyCER that new ones are reinstalled during tyre fitting zones, forcing teams to carry spares all morning (~500 g extra), even though they can be lost again soon after

The FIA World Motor Sport Council approved today the creation of an RC6 class for Rally6 Group cars - Four-seater, two-wheel drive ICE cars, Standard 1.6T or 2.0 NA engine, power-to-weight ratio of 7.5 kg/hp. No news about WRC27 Regulations. #WRClive #WRCliveES #WRCjp

The aerodynamics of #Rally1 cars are designed (and wind tunnel tested) to work at maximum angles of 20º. But reality proves that the cars are placed at higher angles in some corners (up to 40º), such as in #RallyChile SS12 yesterday

The FIA announced today that teams will have 2 additional homologation jokers for chassis development, bringing the total to 6 between 2025 and 2026. So far, Hyundai has used 3 and Toyota 1, according to the latest homologation list published

On the fast stages of #RallyFinland, as in Estonia, it will be critical not to damage the front bumper, splitter or mirrors, as they form the aero package responsible for ensuring downforce (grip) at the front of the car & balance

The front left damage of @OliverSolberg01 & @AdrienFourmaux on @RallyEstonia SS6 might only look cosmetic, but this part is critical for generating front grip, leading to transverse & longitudinal imbalance and make driving hard
