Half a mile down the road takes me to the Shears Inn. An historic pub surrounded by old mills with decent cask options, but the interior 'refurbishment' is pretty crap (especially when you see what they've done at the nearby Three Pigeons). Having a pint of the Stancill Ginger Pale 🍻

It's not great weather for hiking across Yorkshire moors between village pubs. Worth it when the beer is this good though. Lovely pint of Hetton Pale from Dark Horse Brewery.

Only made it to one pub last night as it was so good just stayed there. Highly recommend La Capsule in Lille. 28 taps, 27 of them French! None of your Belgian rubbish here 😉🍻

After a somewhat traumatic trip from Aberdeen (over 12 hours...), finally made it to Lille. Nice view from the hotel rooftop bar and a decent enough Belgian IPA to start with.
