Regarding the historical context, the game is set in a fantasy world with medieval technology + magic, but with today's understanding and problems relating to queer people.
It's meant to reflect and put the spotlight on what queer people have to go through NOW, not in the past.

Fair point! I'm taking a mostly Eurocentric view of things because it's the one I'm most familiar with and one I can more easily contribute to, but I'd welcome any reading material you have from other cultures!

The demo is nearing completion and is a sequence of static battles with reward choices. It is feature-complete, and all that remains is balancing. I would estimate it will take less than a month for the demo release. Follow me for a post and link for when the demo releases!
