Previn's Turangalila was my gateway to Messiaen, and is still my favourite version of the five I now own.
The Tashi Quartet for the end of time is another treasured possession.
But I too place the Eclairs sur au-dela from Chung at the top of my list. Ecstatic sound.

Third movement of Shostakovich 5th symphony. This slow, unresolved crossed dissonances in the strings just get me every time.
