I’m quite happy with my Sony WH-1000Xm3 set for these kind of situations. Although they really excel in bass cancellation compared to other over-ear models, I like them mainly above my Sennheiser Ambeo Smart in-ear set as the Sony simply damps a lot more, even when the ANC is off.
