I knit, cycle, read, cook, and try to listen more than I talk. Proudly married to Andreas.
Now that the Milsons Point bike ramp is nearing completion, it’s even harder to understand why people objected. It’s such a simple, elegant piece of construction. #cycling #sydney #sydneyharbourbridge

I was blocked by just one person on Twitter: Mike Carlton.

I've just been able to go back and find out which tweet prompted it, and I'm totally mystified:

Four weeks after breaking a bone in my foot, I’m back on the bike. Not comfortable riding, but great to be out and about again.

Seriously? Does absolutely everything have to be reduced to a them-versus-us hatefest?

In my experience, almost all drivers are considerate towards cyclists. The roads are spaces to share. Stop trying to turn them into battlegrounds.

Don’t ever get into an argument with a pelican while you’re pulling in a fish. Not only are they extremely stroppy, they also have a nasty hook on the end of their beaks.

For the first fifteen years or so I was able to just reach up to change our only analogue clock twice a year. Then it started to be a little more of a stretch each time. Two years ago I was forced to notice how much I'm shrinking, because I was no longer able to reach it without a ladder. 😬

The enraging arrogance of bureaucrats. If myGov can so easily be used to scam people, then it has been designed wrong.
