After winning the 2025 Jaja Uma Tournament back in November by defeating Spike Nishimura in the finals, Marvelous’s Senka Akatsuki had the opportunity at the Sendai Girls Junior Championship against champion YUNA at Sendai Girls’s Sendai PIT show on January 23rd. In just under eleven minutes, Senka was able to secure the victory over YUNA, subsequently becoming the twelfth champion and securing her first-ever championship in the process.

Marigold have announced the full cards for their New Year’s Golden Garden shows in Shinjuku FACE on the 30th January, and in the Lily Arena Mito on January 31st. Mayu Iwatani will make the sixth defence of her Superfly Championship when she takes on her protege Komomo Minami in the main event, while another first round match from the 3D Trios Tournament will pit the team of Seri Yamaoka, Yuuka Yamazaki and Shoko Koshino, against the trio of Nao Ishikawa, Hummingbird and Nagisa Tachibana.

Tokyo Joshi Pro have released the first details for their upcoming tour of Texas, USA in March. The shows, called TJPW Texas Stampede, will emanate from the Palmer Events Center in Austin as a part of SXSW Festival on the 17th (7pm local time) and 18th (6pm local time) of March, and the College Park Center at the University of Arlington Texas in Dallas on the 21st (3pm local time).

OZ Academy will run their Blooming With Pride show in the Nippon Totor Green Dome Maebashi on 11th February, and have announced the full card through their social media channels. MIRAI will make her debut for the company when she teams with Kohaku against Sareee and AKINO, while the Inaba Sisters will make their first appearances since May 2025 on opposing sides, with Azusa teaming with ZONES and Tomoka with Tsubasa Kuragaki.

Stardom have announced the full cards for their pair of awards show on the 24th and 25th January from Belle Salle Takadanobaba, including two title matches, Sareee’s Stardom return and Saya Kamitani’s first Stardom matches since her short break following Wrestle Kingdom 20. The show on the 24th will see a challengers vs. champions preview tag team match, with Ami Sourei, Starlight Kid and the STARS duo of Hanan and Bea Priestley joining forces to take on the H.A.T.E champions, while the EXV and Mi Vida Loca rages on.

Pre-Show Notes 25th Wonder of Stardom Champion Konami has been champion for 79 days – in her first reign. This will be the second title defence of her reign. This will be Rina’s second attempt at the championship, having lost against Starlight Kid in an acclaimed match in February of 2025 at Path of Thunder. This is only the second singles match between Konami and Rina, and their first since November 2021, a match which Konami won.

At today’s press conference to confirm the full card for Mayu Iwatani’s 15th Anniversary show at Korakuen Hall on January 24th, Marigold made the surprise announcement that they will be introducing trios belts. Officially called the ‘Dream, Diamond & Destiny’ Championships, or 3D Championships for short, a tournament will be held to crown the first champions, with the full field of teams being as follows;

Following today’s Monday Magic show, Mayu Iwatani’s first defence of the GHC Women’s Championship since taking the belt from Takumi Iroha on the 3rd January has been confirmed. Having teamed with Miku Aono in a successful outing against ZONES and Chi Chi at Monday Magic Rising Sun Season #1, Iwatani was confronted by Utami Hayashishita. The pair were already scheduled to compete in a special singles match at Mayu’s 15th Anniversary Show - ICON FOREVER - on the 24th January, but Hayashishita made it clear she wanted the match to be for the GHC Women’s Championship, with Iwatani agreeing to the challenge.

Marigold have begun the new year with their New Year’s Golden Garden tour, the first three nights playing out in Korakuen Hall, the 176BOX in Osaka and the Shimizu Marine Building in Shizuoka. However, alongside the confirmation of two foreign talents in Maddy Morgan and Angel Hayze joining the company for the tour, Marigold have now announced the full dates and venues for the True Victory Series 2026 tour which will open on March 8th in Nagoya, and close on April 24th in Korakuen Hall.

Announced through their social media channels, Dream Star Fighting Marigold have confirmed the names of two foreign talents that will be joining the company for the upcoming Spring Victory Series 2026 in March and April. The first is 24-year old Scottish freelancer Angel Hayze, who has been a stalwart of the UK independent scene since her debut in 2016, wrestling a series of matches in WWE’s NXT UK alongside the likes of Bea Priestley, Stevie Turner and Xia Brookside.

Stardom have announced the full card for their show on Wednesday 21st January in Korakuen Hall, with the card - which will be exclusively available on PPV - housing a Wonder of Stardom Championship match, the return of Hanan and Yuzuki Aikawa’s first Stardom match since her retirement in 2013. Konami will make her second defence of the White Belt when she defends against H.A.T.E teammate Rina, while Yuzuki Aikawa will team with Mutual Love against Sayakurara and Yuria Hime.

Having been missing from action for almost four months, STARS’s Hanan will make her return to wrestling on the 21st January, at the PPV inside Korakuen Hall. During the January 18th show in EDION Arena Osaka #2 in Osaka, Hanan made an appearance to announce her return following almost four months on the sidelines dealing with an undisclosed injury. The last time Stardom fans saw Hanan inside the ring was during the 27th September show - also inside Korakuen Hall - when she, Bea Priestley and Saya Iida won a six-woman tag team match against the H.A.T.E trio of Konami, Rina and Momo Watanabe via disqualification, with the H.A.T.E team then laying the boots to the Young Lioness to close out the match.

Marigold ran the second night of their New Year Golden Garden 2026 tour from the 176BOX in Osaka on the 17th January. Unfortunately, in the second match on the card, whilst teaming with Nagisa Tachibana against the team of Shoko Koshino and Seri Yamaoka, Kizuna Tanaka suffered a serious injury to her ankle, forcing the referee to bring a stop to the match.

Night one of TJPW’s annual Max Heart Tag Team Tournament is in the books, and we have our matches set up for next week’s second round. Stardom have announced the full cards for their upcoming shows over the weekend in Osaka and in Takamatsu. The Wonder of Stardom Championship picture heats up as Konami and Rina face off twice ahead of their match at Korakuen Hall on January 21st, whilst Stardom newbie Maki Itoh will continue her tour of Stardom factions as she teams with EXV, Mi Vida Loca and Kikyo Furusawa across the three shows.

After dethroning Arisu Endo at the TJPW 4th January show in Korakuen Hall, the date of MIRAI’s first defence of her newly-won International Princess Championship has been decided. Following her victory at the start of January, MIRAI was challenged for the belt by Toga, with the champion gladly accepting. The match has now been confirmed to be happening on the 14th February in Korakuen Hall as a part of the Max Heart tournament finals.

Yuzuki Aikawa will wrestle in a 6-woman tag team match at Korakuen Hall on 21st January - her first Stardom match in 13 years.

Miku Aono, Utami Hayashishita, Victoria Yuzuki and Mayu Iwatani compete in an all-star tag team match, while a surprise roster member is next in line for the Crimson Red Belt.

Stardom confirms three more matches for Supreme Fight in Osaka on February 7 in EDION Arena Osaka.
