Here to escape the dross of British society on Twitter who think they’re about to usher in a new era in which they rule over us all.
Dan Niedle strikes me as the person that understands how to strike the balance and find ways to arrive at the public interest outcome without being overbearing or overreaching.

He’s quite brilliant.

The damage they could do to business and individuals that are cheating or finessing the system is enormous.

Big business has the resources to bully HMRC and purchase influence at the decision making levels of government. “Lobbying” should be outlawed and public interest made #1 priority.

I’ve said this many times myself.

To his credit Dan has touched on this subject. He feels freer to speak as a non-government entity.

I think the government is missing a trick. Give Dan and his cabal an aggressive budget to hire and train an elite force of tax specialists to work on public behalf.

They needed a running sore they could scratch and cause to erupt whenever they needed distraction headlines.

The absolute chaos in immigration during their tenure was a conscious choice.

As was the wasteful profligacy of Rwanda. As was closing down safe routes to encourage small boats.

Criminals.

McConnell is literally the reason the world must deal with Trump.

This fossilised arsewipe could’ve stopped him the first time around and didn’t because he’s a power hungry **** like all the rest of the Republicans.

Fuck Mitch McConnell.

Because Donald hates Obama.

Viscerally.

That choice would absolutely be one I would take. To sit next to one so obviously inferior that thinks they’re superior. The opportunity to graciously and intelligently needle them would be deliciously tempting.

Obama would’ve loved every second of it.

For what they get paid (on top of all the shady side money they make) they do sweet FA.

For every suit like Johnson that thinks they crush it on a daily basis I could show you a million min wage workers that bust their ass way harder.

Sick of listening to his complaints. Get fucked.

Usually.

They’ll just have to forgive me as I’m selectively deaf to their plight.

Equity release is an appalling fix for these sorts of issues. Rip off is an understatement.

If a person truly can’t afford the tax the authorities can place a lien on the house. The cash strapped owner pays nothing and the cost comes out of the disposal of the asset upon death.

Everybody’s happy.

This made up person can have a lien placed on the house for this tax so it will cost them zero pounds during their lifetime.

The poster would do well to remember that a substantial number of people are locked out of home ownership and all the associated wonderful things they’ve listed in this rant.

Learning for the sake of learning and indulging a passion is dead.

Dead on the altar of profit.

Thank fucking god I married a European. My daughter has a passport that will allow her to travel freely across a continent to study whatever she chooses wherever she chooses. For *FREE*

The UK is dying
