Thanks, I see that now. I do like learning things. Where I live, 400% FPL is a very comfortable income and puts you well into the middle class, so as it involves me, my concern is a little less.

Nothing against PA-Cs btw. They do yeoman work and I love mine to bits. BUT--if I need something only an MD can clear, I have to wait for a referral or else go to the ER.

I don't believe for a moment that members of Congress or officials in the other branches of government only get the same treatment as most of the rest of us. I suspect when Mike Johnson or John Thune have health issues, they get to see an MD, not a PA-C like I have to.

Makes sense. Flaws in the grain. I live in the woods and we do get that a good deal around here.

My understanding is that it's not going away completely, just going away in terms of affordability. So that only upper-class people, like, say, Members of Congress will be able to stay on.

Didn't know that. Good enough for the staff maybe. But I still don't believe that--even if they have to carry such a plan--Members themselves stoop to use it. As you say, they are a wealthy lot.

Good, but better, Congress should have the same healthcare as ordinary Americans do. Then you'd see that shit fixed in jig time.

This is where we've sunk to? Moral turpitude, hateful behavior, and open vice isn't enough to disqualify someone from office; they have to be held to criminal standards of conviction?
This is just the meaning of 'high crimes and misdemeanors.' But such things don't exist for us now. Shameless.

Must have been quite a storm to topple a cedar! They generally have very robust root systems.
