I don’t think the ff folks have but I think probably other jrpg devs have, I remember hearing the Trails games kinda have the same turn altering stuff.

Eh yeah he sucks, but idk I still had fun using him. My first playthrough’s main team was him AND Lulu and I still had fun.
Then later playthhroughs I abandoned the idea of a main team and just kept swapping ppl whenever I needed their specific ability or overdrive

Ahh I haven’t but that sounds so fun. Yeah the base game is rly easy once you know what you’re doing so something like that would be appreciated.

When I was younger I HATED how on rails it felt, and HATED the corridor design of so many of its maps. But now I’m just kinda unbothered by it.
I still love the old big world map you explore-type gameplay, but honestly it made sense for this game to just have lots of forward momentum. 🤷♂️
