What bothers me is that people imagine they are increasing the severity of perceived wrong of making fiction of something that would be inexcusable if it were in reality, but all they actually accomplish is a diminishing of the real-world crimes they're reducing to the equivalent of lines on paper.

Yeah, anybody saying the law requires this restriction on clearly non-RL, AND clearly non-human fictional text or art is simply incorrect, at least for the US. I know EU and Canada have all kinds of shit that doesn't distinguish between actual harm of living humans vs total fiction, but the US does.

Oh, life's treating me plenty fine, my disconnect with Furry and art and the whole mental process of finding my way back to wanting to do those things are entirely unrelated to my day to day rl. Part of the problem is being happier the less I have to do with the magic screens. :P
