actual prompt engineers work with this kind of shit and a LOT of fucked up math. they are actually solving real challenges posed to them by the ultimate need of selling us a bill of goods. some good may even come of this at some point, purely as a byproduct.

Every single person who says that LLMs and vibe coding are the future is a person who is spending a quarter of their waking hours staring at things that look like this

oh damn you can buy used supercomputer fragments on ebay. these are 8 years old but still beat the shit out of a 5090 if you're doing FP64

ray tracing cores in modern GPUs are designed only to calculate bounding volume hierarchy traversal and ray-triangle intersection

but if you shape a problem (e.g. n-body) Just Right you can use RT cores and get "1.3-4x" or "orders of magnitude" faster performance

lol Google renamed other AI agent coding assistants' "YOLO mode" (AI agent can run any command without permission) to "Turbo mode" and let you select it during Antigravity onboarding if you want "agent-driven development"

it doesn't even have a tree-sitter grammar to catch outside-workspace writes?

gemini 3 gives me a recipe for german tree-ring cake. chatgpt freaks out and accidentally reveals how they tried to harden it against poety attacks. just like everything else openai does it seems kinda hacked together

thinking about the incredibly ominous simulated LLM jailbreak poem from the "Adversarial Poetry as a Universal Single-Turn Jailbreak Mechanism in Large Language Models" paper

they didn't want to publish a working jailbreak poem for a safety-critical domain so they wrote this one instead

so when the fuck do we start getting cheap used datacenter shit dumped on the market. i want my computer to be a horrible pile of E1.S L ruler SSDs and SXM5 GPU compute modules adapted to fit consumer interfaces with parts from shenzhen/taiwan
