A coalition of 3 opposition parties condemns what they call ''Unlawful Power Grab'' and ''Regional Destabilization'' in Tigray. The coalition said ''Tigray is facing an escalating crisis as TPLF cadre generals and their allies within the TPLF office attempt to seize power through illegal means. ''

The TPLF office announced that it will continue the operation of "enforcement of law and constitutional order" (ምኽባር ልዕልነት ሕግን ሕገ መንግስትን), a phrase resembling the "Law Enforcement Operation" (ህግ የማክበር ዘመቻ) that Abiy Ahmed used to describe the first phase of the attack on Tigray.
