Got the itch to build something so grabbed this blitz kit from Takom. Just the tracks to go and then I can button it up and the build will be done.

Added some posters to the cafe and got the figures for the crocodile sorted ready to be painted. Have added a couple of acrylic washes but will move onto the enamels and oils now.
The base still has a blank spot which I haven't figured out what to fill it with yet.

I've had this Vallejo French Cafe knocking around in my shelf for a year or two so decided to finally do something with it. Also trying out the AK weathering pencils on the cafe. Probably gone a bit overboard with the dirt streaking pencil but I quite like them so far

The Elefant is on its base.
I keep thinking the commander looks like he is trying to talk to someone on the ground so might add another figure or two at the front right.
Probably just me overthinking it and I should slap some sides on the base and call it a day.

Spend the weekend paint the figures. It must have been a real sod to drive this thing as the drivers head is barely above the armour plate.

Added all the additional bits and pieces and applied the first couple of washes. Tried dot filters with oils for the first time and pretty happy with how that has fixed the overly dark shade the first wash created. Next up, chipping and the figures.

Green is on and the overspray has been (mostly) corrected. Still not 100% happy with some of it but will leave it for a day or so and come back to it rather than just banging away at it.

Red Brown camo is done-ish. Thinned the paint a bit to much initially so will need to come back and clean up some of the edges and overspray once the green is down as well.

Zimmerit is done. All I can say is that's it's a good thing Zimmerit doesn't have to be perfect 😂

For my first group build, it's been fun to do something different to my normal scales and types and great seeing all the other amazing modellers out there doing similar types!

Matte varnish went down yesterday so got to unmask the clear parts today and I've had the same problem with the primer & top coat coming away from the cockpit 🤦
