Cross-cultural creative collaboration. I like to travel, eat, laugh, and to make stuff up. Die-hard White Sox fan. I believe in the Human Right to Laugh.
The Bad Bunny halftime show blended reggaetón with traditional Puerto Rican rhythms and references to history and migration. It was rooted in identity. It felt like a love letter. You don’t have to love it. But before dismissing it, maybe be curious about why it brings joy to so many.

Years ago, as a young artistic director in improv, I noticed a pattern. In every new cast, the newest or most marginalized person became the target.

I think about that when I look at our immigration conversation. Today, that pattern is aimed at Somali Americans.

It’s time to break the pattern.

Zohran Mamdani was inaugurated as Mayor of NYC on Jan 1. I don’t live there and I’m neutral on who New Yorkers chose. What concerns me is the reaction. He’s faced fear and Islamophobia rooted in identity, not policy. I want my daughters to see us learn, not repeat.

WORKSHOP: Emotions=Relationship=Game with Will Luera • The Commodore

Happy to once again partner with Lena Jelinek to come up with the Seaward CrossFit 12 days of Christmas workout! We were a little busy this season so we needed a little help coming up with the announcement video. We hope you enjoy it!

Every year around this time, I find myself thinking about all the places in our lives that genuinely lift kids up.

You could support vis Venmo at @misssarasotasoftball-inc or go to www.sarasotasoftball.org. Every dollar goes right back into helping our girls play, grow, and shine.

If you don't like Burpees, you can blame no one other than the great Royal Huddleston Burpee. (Yes, that's his real name)

Ever since I turned 45 I’ve almost been exclusively aisle seats…IYKYK.

I was forced to take a window seat but I didn’t mind…what a wonderful reminder of the beauty above our heads.

What a great way to end our trip. Goodbye Houston!

Over the last few years, the gen-x and y adults have started new post-Thanksgiving Friday traditions.

We usually don’t bring the kids along but this year, we decided to be nice and dragged them along as well. 😂

It was still nice to sneak in some adult catch up time before going back home.

It’s become a tradition to go to Houston, Texas every year for Thanksgiving. My favorite part is that we get to see so much of our family at once, revisit annual traditions, and create new memories.

Love you family. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

We did our second Meow Wolf as a Family. This time visiting Radio Tave in Houston. Just as wonderfully trippy as the first one we went to in Denver.
