Now that it looks like Medicare and the ACA is definitely on the chopping block, I want to know what happens to our hospitals that depend on the funding. I expect wide spread closures especially in rural areas and a decline in life-expectancy.
Those who have not watched Great Canal Journeys, do yourself a favor and give it a go. This gentle series follows Pru Scales (Fawlty Towers) and her husband Rimas they explore England's Canals, but it was also a 60 year old love story as the couple adapts to Pru's Alzheimer's.

Is any one else losing any sense of optimism that this situation will right itself? The Supreme Court is likely to erase the Voting Rights Act, uphold Trumps tariffs, and make all the things Ice is doing legal. I feel we lost America not just for a kleptocracy but for forever facism.

What has happened to the Christianity I grew up with. Love thy neighbor, show compassion to those struggling, embrace strangers, decry the sexual and physical abuse of children, treat people as you would like to be treated. How did the right co-opt Christainity and made it a cult of hate?

Unironically, Dr Oz sent Medicare recipients an email explaining how damaging high blood pressure is without addressing the number one cause of high blood pressure for those of us in blue states.

New England has just been broken. Except for VT, all Northern New England Senators voted for cloture on the horrible CR. We are no longer united, Coastal Northern New England has been compromised.

The difference between a MAGA and Democrats, is that the Democrats snip off lettuce leafs allowing it to regrow, while MAGA pull the lettuce out by its riots. MAGA will strip all of our Natural Resources, leaving America to look like the surface of the moon. Nothing left for future generations.
