Maybe the school board can get to school names after they figure out how to teach 8 graders algebra like they used to. It's genuinely mind boggling how my kid won't have access to the same math education I did 25 years ago. Like you said, it's a question of competence.

SF progressives are also very conservative on education in that they destroyed math education in public schools in what I can only assume is an attempt to promote private and charter schools based on the outcome achieved thus far

What's your plan? I don't see anything on your website.

In SF, TICs are the most common for condos converted from old victorian houses. You basically buy the right to access all common areas like lobbies, garages, and backyards, and your unit and parking space. Newer developments are sold as condos w/ HOAs to cover shared utilities and maintenance.

Rent and transit policy and not being a sex pest. But I don't live in NY either so I just see the clips circling this website

Sounds like a normal mayoral race tbh, is there a nimby or yimby element to the top candidates?

OK I'll bite, what's the biggest ideological issue at play during this election in Detroit?

Lawrence gang in shambles

I pity you for holding this much misplaced hate and prejudice in your heart. Truly a pathetic joyless existence you must live to be this way. At least you and Lauren can be friends and wallow in some studies together.

I'm glad my post was so memorable, welcome back to my notifications

Everyone has the capacity and potential to do good things, being good is just making a conscious habit of doing those things. Some people need a metaphysical reason to make the habit, and some people use metaphysical reasons as an excuse not to.

The comments are absolutely cursed in that thread. I guess I'm a murderer who is giving my puppy cancer and got told off by some sort of horse fetishist. This site rules

Read your reply to my dog photo to your therapist, your parents, or your bartender and maybe they will help you find it
October 15, 2025 at 7:59 PM
I'm not religious either, I am sharing my personal philosophy that I know there's good in everyone, even you who wishes cancer on strangers' puppies. I'm just not going to spend all day trying to find yours.

There's a chasm that spans universes between when people should people mask for covid, a topic I have not mentioned nor do I care to discuss, and the cruel and misanthropic notion that an entire race of people is ontologically evil, the topic I replied to.

That was messed up, right? I thought I was the one making a demonstrative argument but she managed to match tactic to prove the counterpoint

My thesis is that people are good and you get what you put out into the world so I shared something that gave me joy. If you thought I was here to argue about unnamed studies then you'll not be satisfied with the outcome of this thread. I'd rather you share something that gives you joy though.

There we go, got a laugh. Have a nice evening
October 15, 2025 at 5:34 AM
It sounds like you enjoy reading studies. Is there a study you read that makes you feel hopeful?
October 15, 2025 at 5:27 AM
Why not share something that gives you joy? We all already have plenty of reasons to feel sad and angry.

I just adopted a puppy a few weeks ago. Maybe this picture of little Merlin in his autumn scarf will cheer you up!

Look for the good in people Lauren. It's in there, I promise.
