I get this. I have that with REM. There are maybe 2-3 albums I’d say are their best. But New Adventures in Hi Fi is my favorite. Can’t explain it.

Having seen him live a few times the last couple of years, it's a spot on assessment. You can tell the energy in the room drastically changes when he's playing a Talking Heads song vs. a solo tune.
