We’ve always cared 💚 I grew up camping all over Wisconsin, but the moment I really understood was watching the sunrise in Badlands National Park. I didn’t know what the landscape would look like, & seeing it slowly light up made me realize just how special our public lands really are

Remote areas to us mean places that take more effort to get to - which means fewer people there. My mind goes first to roads (gravel, snow, mountainous).

The Grand Canyon blew our minds. It was so vast that, when walking along the rim, the lack of parallax made the landscape look like a painting. Our understanding of distance just completely broke.

We followed this little trail at Mossquatch Resort in the #PNW last year 🌲

It surprised us with this mythical-looking door in the middle of the forest. Then just a short #hike later… a quiet little #waterfall, all to ourselves 💦
