Will see it on your recommendation. And speaking of emotionally powerful and devastating films, Have you seen Train Dreams. Will haunt me or a long long time.

I’ve read the book and it was heartbreaking. I want to see the movie but I know it will be devastating. (Also have tickets for the stage adaptation in DC next year)

If you loved the movie, try reading the book. The writing is out of this world. Truly. You feel it all in your bones, in your soul.

Or ever lost a young boy child

Is it maybe not good for someone who's fairly recently lost their spouse? Wondering.

We went out to eat afterwards, and while at the restaurant and talking about the movie, I mentioned a scene at the end and just about lost it again. Oof

Wanted to see Hamnet in the movie theater. I read how people were openly weeping leaving the theater. Opting to watch at home so I can cry in private.
