He/him
Once, in the Before Time, I did a lot of incredibly nerdy stuff.
I suspected America's wunderwaffen era was coming but it feels even weirder that we're getting ours from Cuba.

Disappointing.

"Commander Bovino, could you confirm or deny that you are compensating for anything?"

He's stuck trying to pull off a Matrix Nazi open-trenchcoat look because if he actually buttoned that coat he'd look like a David Byrne act

Shame he's not a big enough person either

Not a single person who has come down advocating for parental right to vaccinate has been able to tell me why it's any different than requiring a parent to feed and clothe their child. Not a single person has been able to tell me why the parents couldn't simply comply or leave the jurisdiction.

And ultimately, if your only goal is to talk about what you think is immediately feasible instead of what ought to eventually be done, then you've given up and decided to settle for whatever you decide are acceptable losses, forever, from your high horse.

I don't know if you're counting just the kids who are vaccinated as wins, or also the immunocompromised people who won't be infected as knock-on cases, the educational effects of kids not missing school, etc. etc.

You keep saying it's not worth it without showing how you're arriving at that worth.

You said:
"If the goal is to get the most kids vaccinated with the least collateral damage"

The problem is, I don't know what you think 'collateral damage' is, or how you're weighting it against vaccinated kids, which is why I was asking for percentages etc.

You think fugitive slave catchers started working in... 1941?

I want to say that the lesson is to just let them die, but honestly I think every bit of this is a weapon against them.

Mission accepted

The statement, "Forcing parents to vaccinate their children won't work in a free society" isn't fundamentally any different than the statement, "Forcing parents to feed their children won't work in a free society".

Yep, there it is

Honestly if she'd opened with "It would be great if we could mandate childhood vaccinations but experience demonstrates that turns out catastrophic for the kids, so here's what I propose instead" I would've still disagreed but it would've seemed rational. But the 'free country' bit is telling.
