I really liked the Mariners though, because they weren’t that. It wasn’t just a team that could afford to load up on superstars. They’re a real team, and any of the players could pull off something heroic at any time.

Thank you, I appreciate that :) it was an amazing run and I think the country just goes wild because we have so few sports teams in general, and we rarely win any titles haha. And if it doesn’t pan out it’s the whole country that gets depressed that we lost again to another American juggernaut team.

That’s it.. even David Suzuki is saying we need to turn our attention to disaster preparedness rather than pinning our hopes on reversing climate change. I keep thinking enough catastrophes will shake those in power to act, but so far we seem to continue learning all the wrong lessons.
