I use Twitter via the PWA, speed wise they are on par, though Twitters timeline seems to load more posts.

The option doesn't show up for me on FireFox or Chrome (desktop). What you are showing there is an Edge specific feature which lets you setup non PWA sites as "apps", unfortunately.

Hopefully they add the correct lines to the manifest eventually.

The option to install isn't appearing in my browser (Chrome on Android). There seems to be open issues on the bluesky git regarding adding the required sections to the manifest.json

Are you per chance using an Edge specific tool? Otherwise it might just be an issue on my end.
